This chart compares the relative dominance of trading Volume across Perpetual Futures markets for BTC and ETH. Perpetual Futures have proven to be a favored futures product, capturing a large dominance of both Open Interest, and trade Volume for both BTC and ETH.

Note: Input trading volume has a 7-day EMA applied to smooth out daily noise.

Dominance is calculated as follows;

• Bitcoin Dominance = BTC Volume / (BTC Volume + ETH Volume)
• Ethereum Dominance = ETH Volume / (BTC Volume + ETH Volume)
