Definition. The number of unique addresses whose funds have an average buy price below the current spot price. Number of Addresses in Loss is the loss counterpart, and Percent of Addresses in Profit is a related, normalized metric.

Technical. "Buy price" is defined as the price at the time coins were transferred into an address. For ETH and ETH tokens, contract addresses are excluded. For ETH tokens, burn addresses are excluded.
