Definition. The number of unique addresses that were active as a sender of funds. Number of Receiving Addresses is the receiver counterpart, and Number of Active Addresses is the related base variant without segmentation.

Technical. Only addresses active as a sender in successful non-zero transfers are counted. For ETH tokens, the zero address is counted as the sender of mints. For TON, the Elector and Config system contracts are excluded.
