Definition. The number of unique addresses holding a positive (non-zero) amount of coins. Number of Addresses is the related variant that also includes addresses whose balance has returned to zero.

Technical. For ETH and ETH tokens, contract addresses are excluded. For ETH tokens, burn addresses are excluded.
