Definition. The total count of transfers from whale entities to exchange addresses. Whales are defined as network entities (clusters of addresses) that hold at least 1,000 BTC. Number of Transfers from Exchanges to Whale Entities is the outflow counterpart, and Transfer Volume from Whale Entities to Exchanges is the related volume metric.

Technical. Exchange-to-exchange transfers are excluded. Exchange metrics are based on Glassnode's continually updated set of labeled exchange addresses, together with statistical and data-science methods that are refined over time. The series is therefore mutable: its established history is stable, but recent data points may revise as labels update.
