Definition. The number of transactions on the Ethereum network that are vanilla transactions. Vanilla transactions are pure ETH transfers between Externally Owned Accounts (EOAs), with no contracts being called. Vanilla Transactions (Relative) is the relative counterpart. Number of Transactions is the related base variant without segmentation.

Technical. If at least one of the EOAs participating in the transaction (the receiver, the sender, or both) belongs to an exchange, the transaction is represented in the exchange cohort. Occasionally the value of the last datapoint can change slightly as some addresses initially transact as "vanilla" before their associated smart-contract deployment is observed. Failed transactions are included, and contract-creation transactions are also counted as vanilla.
