Description
Definition. UTXO Realized Price Distribution (URPD), Percent-Partitioned, is a histogram showing the amount of supply that last moved within each price bucket. Each bar reports the supply share whose last on-chain movement landed inside that bucket, and the price on the x-axis refers to the bucket's lower bound. Percent-partitioned means the price axis is anchored at the day's closing price and split into 50 equally spaced buckets above and 50 below, each two percent wide. URPD: ATH-Partitioned is the counterpart with buckets spanning zero to the all-time high.
Technical. For BTC, each UTXO is assigned to a bucket based on its price during creation. For other assets, the metric shows a generalization that also applies to account-based chains: Each address's full balance falls into the bucket of its balance-weighted average acquisition price. For BNB, DOGE, ETH, SOL, TON, TRX and XRP, supply held by contracts is excluded. Supply with an acquisition price at or above 200% of the closing price is collected in an additional top bucket.
