A measure of network validator responsiveness, tracking the proportion of slots that were missed to the total available. The participation rate is calculated as follows: (Total Slots - Slots Missed) / Total Slots.

This is the Point-in-Time (PiT) variant of Participation Rate. PiT metrics are strictly append-only and their history is immutable. The historic data does not necessarily reflect the best current knowledge, but the information at the time when a data point was first computed.
