Description

Definition. This chart presents the total ETH supply held by the Fish Cohort [Address Balance 10–100 ETH], and its 30-day net position change, alongside price. The traces are:

  • 🟠 Total balance held by the Fish Cohort (line)
  • 🟦 30-day net position change of Fish Balance (columns)

Technical. The cohort balance is the 10–100 ETH address balance band:

  • Fish Supply = Supply(10-100 ETH)
  • Net Position Change = diff(Fish Supply, 30)

This metric includes Externally Owned Addresses (EOAs) only (which includes exchanges, ETF products etc); smart contracts are excluded.

Interpretation. Fish sit in the middle of the wealth distribution — wealthier individuals and early adopters whose positions are meaningful but not institutional. This cohort's net position change is a useful barometer of conviction among experienced market participants: sustained accumulation here has historically accompanied constructive market phases, while persistent negative readings flag mid-size distribution. Because the band is bounded on both sides, balances crossing 100 ETH migrate upward out of the cohort, so declines can reflect growth of individual holdings as well as selling — reading this chart alongside the neighboring shark band helps separate the two.

Notes. Built from Supply Held by Addresses with Balance 10–100. The address count of the same cohort is charted in Fish Address Count; neighboring cohorts are Crab and Shark Net Position Change.
