The total amount of futures contracts open interest (USD) that is margined in the native coin (e.g. BTC) and not in USD or stablecoin. Note that for Ethereum contracts can be margined both in ETH or BTC.

This is the Point-in-Time (PiT) variant of Crypto-Margined Futures Open Interest. PiT metrics are strictly append-only and their history is immutable. The historic data does not necessarily reflect the best current knowledge, but the information at the time when a data point was first computed.
